Helloooooooo Internet! I realize I haven't updated since... before ACen? As you may have noticed, I haven't really been as active on here as I used to. This is for a variety of reasons, but some of it has to do with the fact that I post most of my pictures on my new Facebook page ( www.facebook.com/FlamingGoddes… ) and my Tumblr ( missfirestarter.tumblr.com ). If you really want to see my updates, I'd suggest following me on there as opposed to here. I'm still getting used to posting regularly on Facebook, but hopefully I'll be more active from now on. I'm also trying to get into vlogging, but I haven't been very successful. If y'all have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
I've gone to a few cons in the past couple months, but here's a mini run-down:
ACen - I wore Mami a lot and worked at the Daisuki booth, which was pretty fun (aside from my boots being rather painful after multiple hours). Luckily I also finished Asahina Aoi from Dangan Ronpa, which was all kinds of comfy. I did a shoot with some lovely people, and hung out a lot.
Colossalcon - You know how whenever someone asks me to cosplay Yoko, I said I'd never do it? I kind of lied. SkylitEyed, the person who I'd originally promised in the first place, asked me to be the Yoko to her Nia at Colossalcon, and how could I refuse? I didn't get to be at the con as much as I'd hoped due to a variety of things, but I had a lot of fun despite some unfortunate circumstances.
Otakon - This was probably my favorite con that I went to this season, because as usual I got to hang out with friends I don't normally get to see and the con itself is wonderful. I even got to see Yoko Kanno in concert, which was absolutely INCREDIBLE. I made Starfire from Teen Titans to go with SkylitEyed's Raven and Tara's Terra, and we had so much fun. I also finished Yoko's rifle for this convention, which I'm hopefully remaking for next summer because it was WAY too heavy due to the materials I used.
Matsuricon - I didn't really go to this one very much aside from bringing Rei out of pseudo-retirement for a full Highschool of the Dead shoot, which was amazing. I was supposed to get more pictures of Starfire with my Raven, but we ended up going to Steak 'n Shake instead.
And finally there's Youmacon. I'm actually trying to put together a video for this one, so keep your eyes peeled! Needless to say I had a lot of fun. I'm trying to keep this journal shorter than most of my previous ones, but there ya go! As far as my con schedule goes, Ohayocon is next on the list. If you're going, yell at me!
Au revoir, Internet!
